Welcome to the Armageddon Paintball Supply website and I am about to tell you about paintball strategy. Paintball is an awesome and fun experience and I would encourage anyone to atleast try to play it once. There are many many different strategies to paintball, but Im just going to give you the basics. There is no ultimate strategy that will always give you the win and obliterate your opponents. You have to make and decide upon a strategy that is fitting to the current circumstances. You dont want to use the same strategy for every game because your opponents will become familiarized with your strategy and will be able to get around and through your strategy easlier. But one important key to being good at paintball is the ability to move quickly from location to location. Preferrably without being hit (or marked), and even better without being seen. Being hidden is also a good strategy, though it is alot harder than it sounds. It will depend on the camoflauge you are wearing. Though good camoflauge wont do you any good if your gun is very bright and colorful (I know this from experience). They will spot your gun and start shooting in that general area. So if you have a speedball gun, rule out trying to be hidden or a sniper. Though I cant say you wont be able to do that, anything can happen, especially on a paintball field. Survey the field before the game starts, playing a paintball game when you dont know the field can end up with a face full of paint because you didnt know there was a good hiding spot just around the corner. So familiarize yourself with the field and even up the odds. Stay in shape, being more physically fit will allow you to move faster and farther. Dont blindfire, it just gives away your position if your trying to hide and it wastes paintballs. Aim at an unsuspecting opponent and make that shot count. If you miss, adjust your aim and shoot again. Another good strategy is teamwork. If you and your team mates can work together easlier, the more likely you will be able to win. While you cover your friends back, alert him and have him cover yours aswell. Also alert your team mates if your about to make a big move so that they dont accidentally shoot you and can make adjustments to make it easier for you to get to where you are going. Also, a good strategy is playing fair. I know it can be annoying to get marked in the middle of a good game. But hey, it happens. The paintball games I play usually end up with only one player left out of four or six. So getting marked is no big deal, it happens to the majority of players. So dont wipe. Also, if players are complaining about how hard your paintballs are hitting and if they are leaving welts, tweak your gun down just a bit. Its ok to have bruises, but its no fun going home with welts all over you. Remember, safety first. |
